#DIY | Flower Pot Baby Shower Gift

23 Jun

Calling all moms, sisters, friends and grandmas! This is a fun and easy project you can do to add a spin to your loved one’s baby shower gift.  Follow along as we take you through a simple step by step process in creating the most one of a kind gift that she is sure to love.

Materials needed:

1)      Jammies (We recommend Jammies Pret-A-Porter) sold at Lil Rapunzel’s. These adorable onesies are perfect for adding color for your “flower pot” and we have sizes ranging from 0-3, 3-6, 6-9, and 9-12 months, all great for that growing baby.

2)      Ribbon – have fun with this. Feel free to pick a color related to the gender of the baby. You can also keep it simple with a neutral ribbon to create a more subtle look.

3)      Flowers – the only thing we recommend is that you don’t pick a flower that will over power the flower pot. Make sure you choose a flower that will balance it out. We went ahead and picked the Penta’s flower. But you could also pick from the following options too! Feel free to  keep all the flowers the same or you can mix it up so it looks like a real flower garden!blog

Let’s get started!
blog Select your onesie
blog Lay Flat
blog Fold in half
blog Fold in half one more time
blog Begin to roll the onesie up – start at the bottom and and work your way up

Holiday Gift Guide: Kids

1 Dec

You’ll have the excuse the late post. We blame the tryptophan.

But here we are again with some gift ideas for the kiddos! This will be our last post geared towards the boys–so unfortunately, we can’t help with the picky boyfriend, husband, or brother. (Hint: Watches are always a safe bet, right?)

Back to the kids, we again picked some of our newest and best selling items for you to check out! Let’s start with the little ladies…

 blog

We are absolutely obsessed with this ensemble. The accessories make the outfit even more trendy and we’re loving the color combination. And most importantly, the skirt is perfect for twirling. We rest our case.

Moon et Miel Elodie Sweater: $136
Moon et Miel Juliette Skirt: $88
Wee Ones Basic Bow: $8.50
Rolf Bleu iPhone 5 purse case: $28
Rubbzy Rubber Bands (for rainbow loom): $5 each

And for the boys?

 blog

This gift set is basically a sleepover in a bag. The Made with Love and Kisses lounge pant looks cozy enough to spend the entire holiday season in and between the ever popular Magformers and Yackety Smack! game, this might be the first year you don’t have to argue over who gets the rights to TV time!

Hey, on a serious note, do those lounge pants come in adult sizes?

Ralph Lauren Crew Tee: $18
Made with Love & Kisses Basketball Lounge Pants: $46
Magformers 14 Piece Set: $24
Yackety smack! Game: $18

Don’t go too far now, we’re back on Wednesday for gift ideas for teens and mamas!

See ya then!

xoxo, Rapunzel

Holiday Gift Guide: Infant

22 Nov

We’re back again! This time, we are adding to our 2013 Holiday Gift Guide by giving some ideas for our bouncing baby girls and boys!

If you haven’t stopped by our kid’s store on Royal Poinciana Way, then we strongly suggest you stop and drop whatever you are doing, get in your car, and go. Because we have so many adorable new additions for the little ones in your life that you may just wonder if it’s time that you had one (or another one) of your own!

First, we have some gift ideas for the little girly-girls. We all know the best part about shopping for infant girls is that the more pink you dress them in, the better! Check out some of our picks for our future princesses!

 blog

Gund Zoe Ballerina: $31
Usborne That’s Not My Baby book: $8.99
Wee Ones Basic Bow: $8.50
Trumpette Mary Jane Metallic Socks: $30
Jannuzzi Pearl & Bow shirt: $36
Ouch! Tutu Skirt: $66

Let’s not forget about the boys. People may say that they’re made of snips, snails and puppy-dog tails–but we think that they’re just as perfectly adorable as the little ladies, so we did our best to pick out some of the best-selling infant boy items!

 blog

Jellycat Jungly Tails book: $16.50
Jellycat Medium Bashful Giraffe: $20
Jellycat Small Bashful Lion: $14
Paige Lauren Classic Romper in Honolulu Blue: $44
Cute as a Button Giraffe Blanket: $48

So what do you think? Did we at least get an “Ooh” or “Aw!” out of you? Come on, admit it. Are you secretly wondering if any of these come in adult sizes?

Stay tuned! Next week, we have the 2013 Holiday Gift Guides for Toddlers and Kids!
Bye for now!

Kid’s Korner ~ Outfitting a Prince

25 Jul

Did you happen to hear that there was a new member of the Royal Family born this week? I spent the better part of Monday and Tuesday in the Palm Beach airport trying to get back to New York City after the Miami Swim Show so I watched every second of coverage of this historical event. Funny side note – I spent the Royal Wedding in a Florida airport too. I guess that’s mah thang. Maybe I should say “thanks” to LGA for having so many issues this week because if it wasn’t for flight delays – I would have missed all the action. :/

All this baby talk got us thinking about outfits that we’d pick out for Prince George if his Mom Kate came to shop at Lil Rapunzel’s. Here’s what Esther and Ashley came up with!

PS: Duchess Kate – if you’re reading this call us – we’ll ship to Kensington Palace for you!! 561.659.3131

Yesterday we had the pleasure of dropping off all the items we collected for our PJ and Book Drive at the Foster and Adoptive Parent’s Association of Palm Beach County.
