Closet Gossip: Gift Guide Part 7 ~ Randi

10 Dec

Here at Rapunzel’s Closet, the girls have started to find themselves wondering who will be on their lists this year and what the perfect gift for that special someone may be. For “Rapunzel’s Gift Giving Guide,” we had a few of our most thoughtful selling associates narrow down and pick two of their favorite items that they hope to be giving holiday season. On Friday we featured Hallie’s picks. The last entry in our Holiday Gift Guide comes from our very own Princess of Palm Beach,  Randi Siegal. So what will Rapunzel herself be giving this holiday season? We climbed her hair to find out!
blog

Randi knows the importance of gifts making their receivers feel special—so it’s no surprise that she decided to include the personalized Boogie Baby Blankets and MJK knit hats as her items for our Holiday Gift Guide.

(It is important to note that while the detailed personalization process puts these gifts finish date after the holidays, there was no way we were going to leave these precious present ideas off our list)

Boogie Baby Blankets are a great gift idea for any child who can appreciate a cozy blanket. These handmade blankets are the perfect way to make any child feel special this holiday season. By having their names printed on the individual blankets, both you and the children won’t have to worry about arguing over sharing. Pictured above is the boy design. Also available is the girl design which features a similar design but with a monkey ballerina and all pink detailing.

“It’s just the softest material ever and so adorable.  My kids have one blanket in the stroller and one in the crib.  And the colors are always pop colors and stay that way even after washing. “

The theme of personalization continues in Randi’s second choice in her gift guide, an MJK knit flap hat which will display the child’s name on the front, as seen below. These hats are 100% cotton and promise to keep ears warm and cozy during the winter months.  We have several designs and colors available, so you may choose the hat that is suited best for the little ones. blog

“I love how my kids look in their MJK hats! I always get compliments on them.  My favorite feature is that they cover the ears, even if they aren’t tied.  They come in infant and toddler sizes and I’ve given them to friends when they have a new baby, but one for the older sibling as well.  Personalized presents are always special!” blog

And that completes Rapunzel’s Closet Holiday Gift Guide. We hope our gift ideas have inspired you as you continue in your holiday shopping adventures. We look forward to seeing you in the store soon and promise to give you our best advice as you begin checking people off your list this year!

Boogie Baby Blanket – $140
MJK Knit Hat – $55
Note – these items take 4-5 weeks to produce

Closet Gossip: Gift Guide Part 4 ~ Rachel

5 Dec

Here at Rapunzel’s Closet, the girls have started to find themselves wondering who will be on their lists this year and what the perfect gift for that special someone may be. For “Rapunzel’s Gift Giving Guide,” we had a few of our most thoughtful selling associates narrow down and pick two of their favorite items that they hope to be giving holiday season. Yesterday we featured Kristen’s picks. Today is all about yours truly – Rachel the newest member of the Rapunzel’s Closet team!
blog

Palm Beach Prep is the theme of my holiday gifts. Now that the winter weather forcing us to cover up a bit more than usual, the perfect sweater may just be best gift to give this holiday.

Minnie Rose makes a second appearance in our Gift Giving Guide with my choice the cotton Shaker striped sweater. The bright orange, lime and periwinkle blue stripes (among other colors) combine beautifully to make this comfy knit.

“When I first saw this sweater, I immediately thought of about 8 people who would love to get it as a gift. I can see it with a pair of white jeans and cute sandals or maybe even with a fun maxi skirt. While I usually go for more muted colors, these bright colors will catch anybody’s attention. I’m a little tempted to buy it for myself!”

The Oxford loafer has made big waves in fashion this season. And these Del Toro loafers add a new flavor to the classic shoe. The brand was started in Miami and is quickly becoming a major trend, even far beyond South Florida.

“These soft pink patent leather loafers are the epitome of retro girly-girl. I can definitely see my girlfriends wearing these with cute dresses or a cropped pant. They are simple enough that they’re understated and chic, yet different enough that they are unique. And as the brand gets more popular, I can see them showing off how they had them before everyone else started wearing them!”

Minnie Rose sweater: $165.00
Del Toro loafers: $325.00

Closet Gossip: Gift Guide Part 3 ~ Kristen

4 Dec

Here at Rapunzel’s Closet, the girls have started to find themselves wondering who will be on their lists this year and what the perfect gift for that special someone may be. For “Rapunzel’s Gift Giving Guide,” we had a few of our most thoughtful selling associates narrow down and pick two of their favorite items that they hope to be giving holiday season. Last week we featured Stephanie and Sarah’s picks. Today is all about Kristen who works on our selling floor but is also the master of all of our logistics. She does a great job! We are so lucky to have her on our team!blog

Kristen loves her accessories; you’ll never catch her coming into work without them. Therefore, it makes sense why she chose two of Rapunzel’s most popular accessories as her favorite gift ideas.

The Love Quote scarves are not only a favorite among celebrities like Cameron Diaz, Jessica Biel, and Rachel Bilson; they are also a favorite among Rapunzel girls!

“Each of us at the store own at least one. They come in so many colors that it’s hard to choose your favorite, nonetheless the best color for someone else! I would probably give the Portobello color; it’s a nice neutral and would go with mostly anything. When giving gifts, I like to know that it’s something they are going to actually get a lot of use out of, not something that’s going to sit in their closet.”

Kristen also chose the Stacked bracelets that Rapunzel’s recently started carrying. The bracelets come in several different styles and colors, each going perfectly well with the other. Living up to their name, these bracelets are perfect for stacking and pairing with other different style bracelets.

“I was so excited when we started carrying these. The ocean themed ones are sweet and the colored beads are so trendy right now. But my favorite bracelets are the zodiac bracelets. They’re great to give to all ages—all you need to know is their birthday and you can buy the right one. Horoscopes are a guilty pleasure for a lot of people, so I think it’s a fun and risk-free gift to give.”

Love Quote scarf: $88.00
Stacked bracelets: Prices vary from $22.00-$64.00

For “Rapunzel’s Gift Giving Guide,” we had a few of our most thoughtful selling associates narrow down and pick two of their favorite items that they hope to be giving holiday season. Yesterday we featured Stephanie’s picks. Today is all about Sarah who is not only one of our talented selling associates but also one of our gorgeous models! We are so lucky to have her on our team!

Sarah’s bohemian style is apparent in her choice of holiday gift ideas.

She chose the Wayuu bag as one of her favorite store items to give this year. The bags are hand-crafted in South America and display funky color combinations are the ideal accessory for the classic flower-child on your list.

“I haven’t seen anything like these bags before. I chose the more muted colors, but they also come in fun neons too. I know if I sent this bag to one of my family members, they wouldn’t have to worry about seeing anyone else carrying the same bag. The whole one-of-a-kind thing is really appealing with gift-giving.”

Another one of Sarah’s choices was the Alexandra Ferguson “Love” pillow. These felt pillows, which are made from all recycled materials, are made in the USA and are a great gift for the “greenest” of friends and family.

“I love the sayings on these pillows! I chose the “Love” one, but I can also see myself giving the “Beach House” or “LOL” pillows, as well. They’re great for bedrooms or living rooms and I can see them being a conversation starter during a get-together or dinner party.”

Alexandra Ferguson “Love” pillow: $58
(Prices range depending on pillow size)

Closet Gossip: New Feature!

29 Nov

We’re so lucky to have the very talented Rachel Almeida as part of our selling team this year! She’s also a seasoned blogger and will be regularly contributing to our ShopRapunzels.com blog! blog

Closet Gossip is going to be a regular feature “A behind-the-scenes peek into Palm Beach’s most enchanted boutique!”

With Thanksgiving and Black Friday gone and past, many of us find ourselves starting to panic at the thought of holiday shopping. It is the only time of year when your sister, mother, babysitter, neighbor, and everyone else in between find their names on the same list—your holiday shopping list.

Keeping in mind how preferences differ from one gift-receiver to another, last-minute holiday shopping will only allow for reckless spending and even worse, unsatisfied family and friends.  Rapunzel’s Closet offers a variety of affordable, funky, and personalized gifts that will leave everyone on your list wishing they had thought of it first.

Here at Rapunzel’s Closet, the girls have started to find themselves wondering who will be on their lists this year and what the perfect gift for that special someone may be. For “Rapunzel’s Gift Giving Guide,” we had a few of our most thoughtful sales staff pick two of their favorite items that they hope to be giving holiday season. We’re rolling out our gift guide over the next few posts – so keep checking back to see what is our our wish lists!

First Up: Stephanie

blog
Our store manager, Stephanie, keeps a pretty busy schedule. So the fact that she’s able to do some of her holiday shopping at work makes it only that much easier.

Stephanie chose her favorite book from Rapunzel’s new selection of coffee table books. The varied book subjects and quality photography make for the perfect gift for someone who appreciates anything from rock-n-roll history to Palm Beach decorating styles.

“I think my mom back in Maryland would enjoy a book like Shell Chic. Lots of people are fascinated by the fact that we can go to the beach year-round. She would probably love if I gave her this book and a couple of shells from one of my recent trips to the beach.”

Stephanie also chose the Minnie Rose Pow-Wow top in cashmere. While Stephanie chose the Sand color as her favorite, Minnie Rose offers many other colors and even make the Pow-Wow top in cotton.

“This is a great layering piece. The sizing on these are great too, they come XS/S and M/L, making it easier if I can’t remember their exact measurements. It’s super comfy and with a great pair of white pants it can easily be taken into the summer months.”

Minnie Rose Cashmere Pow Wow Sweater: $275.00
Shell Chic by Marlene Hurley Marshall: $35.00
