Closet Gossip: Randi’s Style Obsessions

18 Mar

Contrary to popular belief, not all princesses love pink dresses and diamond tiaras. Randi, aka Rapunzel, is more likely to rock edgy looks comprised of ripped jeans; band t-shirts and Chuck Taylors than her fairy-tale namesake.
blog
Camouflage is no longer for the rugged duck hunter. The Equipment Sloane Crew Sweater in Desert Storm has just enough of a feminine touch be appealing for even a girly-girl. With the Hudson Krista Crop in the Blondie wash on bottom, this look only needs a simple, dark-toned Love Quotes Scarf. We chose the Espresso color to amp up the “camo” trend.
blog
For the sake of style, we did a quick-change on top. We replaced the Equipment sweater with the Cotton by Autumn Cashmere Crochet Skull Sweater in Tangelo. The simple front of the sweater is made up by the intricacy of the skull design on the back. If you’ve spent any time in New York recently, you’ll know that this skull design is EVERYWHERE and Randi wanted to make sure that this style was available for her customers. If orange is too far out of your comfort zone, this sweater also comes in Black and Dark Navy.

So if you’re like Randi and would rather be rocking out to Bon Jovi than partaking in preppy princess duties, come pick up some of Randi’s style obsessions. You’ll be the belle of the ball rock show.

Equipment Sloane Crew Sweater in Desert Storm: $298.00
Love Quotes Scarf in Espresso: $88.00
Hudson Krista Crop in Blonde Wash: $216.00
Autumn Cashmere Crochet Skull Sweater in Tangelo: $253.00
Missoni Fringe Scarf in Orange and Purple: $196

Join the Peace Love World Craze at Rapunzel’s Closet

It’s not often that we find a line of clothing that is not only cute and comfy but has a call to action! This is why when we came across Peace Love World at a recent trade show we were pleasantly surprised by how we were drawn to the messages as much as the soft fabrics and bright color palettes. We were thrilled when we found out that they wanted to come to Palm Beach for a trunk show!

Steal This Look ~ Audrey Hepburn

20 Feb

Steal This Look: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at Tiffany’s
blog

Breakfast at Tiffany’s solidified Audrey Hepburn as a style icon. Prior to appearing with her croissant in hand in the opening scene, Audrey was known for her retro-classic style. Her role in Breakfast at Tiffany’s made her famous for a new look ~ the Little Black Dress.

The “LBD” as it has become known is a key item in every girl’s closet. And the Clothing Gods (also known as our buyer Hallie) have answered our calls and Rapunzel’s Closet is now stocked with perfect LBDs for any and all occasions.

We picked two of our newest and trendiest dresses to showcase, and we’re thinking they are going to be finding new homes in your closets very soon.

First up: The Parker Sarah Dress. We absolutely love the lines of this dress. The eye-catching neckline makes this dress an instant show-stopper. With the cinched waste and flirty length, all you’re going to need is a pair of stilettos and you’re guaranteed to win Best Dressed.
blog

Parker Sarah Dress:$264.00

Be prepared, because this next dress isn’t for the faint of heart.  This Keepsake piece is called the Love Lust Dress, and we’re thinking the designers had both love and lust in mind when making this dress. The cut-outs in the front and back are subtly sexy and the high neckline prevents it from looking too flashy. Just add a cropped leather jacket or oversized blazer (like last week’s Steal This Look!) and you’re set!

Keepsake Love Lust Dress: $125.00

We suggest heading down to Rapunzel’s Closet and doing your best Holly Golightly in one of our stylish LBDs! You know you’re in the market for one!

Coterie: We Can’t Wait to Spring Forward!

26 Sep

blog

Spring Coterie is by far our favorite show of the year! It’s when we do the bulk of our buying for our busy season. This year’s show didn’t disappoint. We saw our favorite pastels, pops of neon for you color addicts, lace accents and floral prints prints. The most fitting new trend for a store located in Palm Beach, FL – palm fronds – who woulda thought these would be so chic?

Keep checking back for more behind the scenes pictures and recaps from our trip to the Spring Coterie show in NYC!
