#OOTD: Maxi Dress | Styled 2 Ways

This week Steph and Christina are styling the Pink Stitch Resort Maxi Dress two different ways. Take it away Girls!

Steph:
Coastal Chic

I am in love with this Pink Stitch Resort Maxi Dress in Azure Blue. It’s the perfect flowy maxi for a hot summer day at Rapunzel’s.

During the day at work my “must haves” are  an arm full of Bourbon & Boweties Bracelets (coins & a sea of blue are my favorites) & TKEES on my feet. These days I can’t get enough of TKEES in Coco Butter and Sea Snake. I completed my mermaid look today with a pair of Sea Snake.

After work I can throw on a chunky beaded belt for a sunset cruise on the boat! (Margaritas are a non-negotiable!) I added an Annie Fischer Pineapple Pouch for my cell phone, lip gloss, sunnies & keys and I’m ready to go!

A Preppy State of Dress

There is this little old saying that goes; you must always have the perfect little black dress. Well, on Palm Beach the perfect little black dress actually translates into the perfect little summer dress. When I set my eyes on the new Pink Stitch Resort Maxi Dress I just knew I had to have it. I went for an effortless chic look without all the fuss that goes into making an outfit.

Sometimes, it really is better to go with the saying, less is more. I made sure to keep the jewelry to a minimum only accenting it with Bourbon & Boweties Bracelets and a Zacasha tassel necklace. I knew I would be spending the day running errands around Palm Beach, so I made sure to keep the shoes simple. You can often catch me rocking my TKEES or some other fashionable flat around town. So leave all the fuss at home, grab your favorite clutch and aviator sunglasses and you’re good to go!

Closet Gossip ~ Kristen’s Style Obsessions

Kristen is all about style and comfort, and if she can get both of those characteristics in one piece; she’s going to buy it. When we asked her to pull a few of her favorite style obsessions, she immediately put together an outfit that is comfortable enough be worn throughout the day and stylish enough that you won’t want to take it off before a night out.

The key piece in Kristen’s outfit is the Zoe Karssen Bat Tee. The graphic is subtle and spooky. With its pre-washed look, you won’t have to worry about stiff designs or washing delicate prints. This bat won’t fly away on you!
 Kristen loves the fit of Joe’s Jeans. They use quality fabrics and are known for their great fit and moderate pricing. To go with the pseudo-masculine graphic tee, Kristen picked a pair of distressed Joe’s Rolled Skinny Ankle Crop in Cooper Wash.

Being from North Dakota, it only felt natural for Kristen to add the Splendid Bellini Jacket in Navy. This piece is almost like having two jackets in one—a navy cargo style is layered over a striped hoodie. The Bellini Jacket works great over the graphic because even though it’s double-layered, it looks anything but bulky. Kristen’s outfit is complete and casual cool all the way.

New at Rapunzel’s Closet: Stacked

Stacked for Success: Hobby Becomes Business

 Two Palm Beach locals,  Liz Evans and Annie Johnson have teamed up to create a unique jewelry line called Stacked. The young entrepreneurs decided to turn what was once a hobby of making bracelets into a business with a goal to make fun and affordable custom jewelry.
 

“Sharing a passion for fashion, we both fell in love with the idea of using accessories and mixing lots of bright colors in one’s wardrobe,” says Johnson.

Liz majored in fashion merchandising and has worked at three major fashion houses in New York and Florida since she graduated from University of Alabama. “Having a background in production and buying, as well as the love for jewelry, has made this business adventure very exciting” says Evans.

The name Stacked came easy. It defines the idea of layering the bracelets with different styles, charms, colors, and especially other pieces of jewelry. The next step is to incorporate necklaces and different and new styles of jewelry.
