Randi and I were in buying heaven as we carefully selected our favorite pieces from the Elizabeth and James Resort and Pre-Spring deliveries this week! As a blazer aficianado, I can honestly say that when I put on the Crepe Heather Blazer with the ruched sleeves while in the showroom I wanted to run out the door and all the way back uptown to the RC offices and stare in the mirror for the rest of the day. Who cares that it was 86 degrees out and I was planning my getaway in a crepe blazer.
While our official Elizabeth and James launch will be this coming September when we introduce the holiday collection, nothing excites us more than when we start buying for Resort and Spring because that means our season is right around the corner.
The Jazlynn Dress with the open back and ruching at the waist was definitely one of our favorite resort pieces. It hardly needs much more than a strappy metallic stiletto or a nude peep toe pump. Don’t forget to pick up a pair of fabulous earrings while you are browsing around Rapunzel’s Closet.
If the Resort 1 collection is the white story then the Resort 2 collection is singing the blues – blue pinstripes, robin’s egg blue satin and of course my coveted navy Crepe Heather Blazer. We just had to throw in the fabulous Bella Silk Tank and the Copper Jeweled Blouse!
